We work with licensors and brands to produce, sell, and distribute our products to supermarkets, retail bakeries, and ice cream stores throughout North America.

This role exists to oversee all Lucks Company, LLC (part of DecoPac) financial operations under the direction of the Corporate Controller. The successful candidate will be able to maintain the integrity of the overall accounting and reporting systems by managing the accuracy and productivity of daily accounting activities. The Accountant is also responsible for assuring that The Lucks Company, LLC financial plans are consistent with the long-term goals of the company.

  Oversee all cost accounting activity of the company under the direction of the Corporate Controller.
• Support the company's activities, maximizing the use of resources to increase throughput utilizing continuous improvement methodology.
• Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments
• Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of invoicing/billing, customer credits, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed assets and cost accounting.
• Assure Bill of Materials (BOMs) accurately reflect the necessary production time.
• Provide appropriate information needed for tax reporting and filings for the company, including federal and state income tax, quarterly sales tax, and other filings as necessary
• Develop, improve, and issue timely monthly financial records for Corporate Controller and appropriate Lucks personnel
• Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals
• Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary
• Support all departments by utilizing data from ERP and reporting performance against metrics that support the growth and development of the Strategic Business Plan
• Maintain the overall integrity of General Accounting, Budgeting, Tax, and Reporting Systems
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting.
• 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• CMA or CPA certification is a plus.
• Experience in the Financial Closing process through statement preparation and tax support
• Working knowledge and experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong skill level in MS Excel (including Pivot tables), and proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in Payroll, Payroll Taxes, Sales Tax, and other typical business taxes & reports
