General Summary of Job Duties
Performs set-up, breakdowns and cleans and maintains meeting and Banquet rooms by following standards of Casino Fandango.
Essential Job Function and Duties
- Clean and set-up meeting rooms per the Banquet Event Order.
- Vacuum floors, clean walls and mirrors.
- Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment, such as tables, chairs, risers, dance floor, and lecterns, is required.
- Proper control and storage of meeting room supplies, such as linen, pads, pens, and candy, are required.
- Service every meeting room by emptying trash, removing dirty dishes from the staging area, and replace when necessary.
- Straighten all chairs, replenish water requirements, as specified or requested,
- On a continuous basis, keep service corridors, pre-function space and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed.
- Clean room and set-up equipment and break stations.
- Acts as food runner and busses tables when busy or short-handed.
- Ensures that all equipment is in good repair.
- Assists guest in any function or meeting room requirements.
- Assists banquet servers as necessary.
- Completes maintenance requests when equipment needs repair.
- Provides the highest quality of service to guests.
- Perform side work as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow team members, and vendors.
- Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
- Arrive on time and regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements
- Previous experience in a banquet environment or hotel casino is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- The ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment.
- The ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
