Description:
- The Insight Contracting is looking for an efficient, safety-minded, self-starter. We have long-term work available for the right candidate for commercial and residential maintenance on construction developments.
- Applicants should have residential and/ or commercial construction industry experience, a reliable vehicle or transportation, and the ability to provide some of your own tools.
- Applicants should be familiar with the construction industry safety standards to ensure project security and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Applicants should be able to:
- Climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints
- Lift heavy loads up to 70 pounds
- Navigate construction terrain
- Perform set up and clean up at the job site
- Provide general labor support as needed
Requirements:
- Good driving record
- CDL license and ability to drive, load, and unload a truck with various materials
- Experience pulling small trailers
- Moderate construction skills
Preferred Skills:
- Framing and Trim (Installing doors, windows, trim work, molding)
- Light Drywall (install drywall to fill in small holes and cover-up normal wear and tear, scraping popcorn ceilings)
- Light Electrical (repair and replace power switches, fuses, and wall sockets, install ceiling lights, install ceiling fans, adjust garage doors)
- Light Plumbing (install faucets, installing and repairing toilets, and installing and repairing hot water tanks, install/fix garbage disposals, install dishwashers)
- Exterior (picking up trash, maintain flower beds, pull weeds, remove leaves, trim trees, and water lawns, repair siding)
Requirements:
- Valid CDL license
- Working knowledge of all construction principles
- Personal, reliable transportation
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred experience:
- 2+ years experience in the construction field
