Batch Plant Operator

Head Inc. – Project: Ellsworth AFB, SD w/transfer to Pope AAF, Fayetteville, NC

Description:

Head Inc. is a general contractor that produces concrete for our own use in a central batch plant. This position is for a plant operator at one project only, which pours roughly 3000 cubic yards per week with a set daily paving schedule consisting of a set quantity +/- set variance to know what to order daily.

Essential Role:

This position is responsible for all aspects of Concrete Batch Plant operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year with concrete batching in ready mix or concrete paving preferred
• Technical training or related experience with concrete batching
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety procedures.

· Must be willing to obtain NRMCA certification, plus if already have it

· Proficient with database operations and Microsoft Excel and Word

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Required to work a schedule that varies from week to week; long hours during peak season; and weekends

· May be required to work at more than one location

· Concrete calculations, good math skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs the concrete batching operation
• Batch 1-2 mixes only continuously for slip form paving operation daily production; not taking phone orders of any kind
• Order & manage material inventory
• Operate equipment (front-end loader, man lift, etc.)

· Maintain accurate and current reports and keep daily schedule on concrete pours

· Report all quantities in and out of the plant daily with Superintendent

• Responsible for all plant maintenance, repair and cleanup
• Ensure equipment continually remains and operates in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and ensure all environmental regulations and policies are followed
• Other duties as assigned

Prefer a candidate who is also willing to relocate once this contract has finished. We do work all across the US and we relocate with each new contract.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
