The Global Supply Chain New Product Introduction team is seeking a Commodity Integration Manager to lead strategic sourcing of next generation military programs. In this role, the manager will work with a cross functional team including Program Industrial, CIPTs, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Offices, and Strategic Sourcing to ensure alignment of all process stakeholders. Additionally, the Commodity Integration Manager is tasked with driving agility and data-based decision making into the sourcing process, supporting the selection of high performing suppliers to meet the urgent needs of our customers. Must be able to work well independently and with all levels and functions within the organization. Projects will require the Commodity Integration Manager to be adaptable, and develop creative solutions that leverage data as we compete to secure the future of Pratt & Whitney Military Engines.
Specific Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead strategic sourcing of next generation military programs, ultimately resulting in the delivery of procured hardware on time in support of the customer’s need
- Champion the use of Speed of Relevance tools aimed at optimally selecting sources, and enabling the program to move faster than our competitors and adversaries
- Own and manage an Industrial Critical Parts List, ensuring there is a robust sourcing plan for every critical part
- Develop and execute strategies to address NPI’s constrained commodities, including the development of new suppliers, obtaining organizational alignment on make vs. buy, or securing a Development Agreement with key suppliers
- Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence to capitalize on process automation opportunities
- Interpret program cost requirements, and manage product cost to ensure affordability of purchased parts
- Further develop the Digital / MB-DMI maturity of the supply chain
- Support special projects, often requiring the analysis of large data sets
- Operate within the Agile methodology, including obtaining Agile training and certification as necessary
- Present to senior leadership and the customer on the status of key initiatives
- Hybrid with 2 – 3 days on site per week
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Project Engineering or related fields
- US Citizenship required due to contracts
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
- Ability to travel as needed 10-15%
Desired Skills:
- Experience communicating throughout all levels of internal and customer organizations
- Advanced user in Microsoft Excel, or other data analytics software
- Basic user in SAP, with willingness to further develop skillset
