Job description
A financial services company based in Hollywood is hiring an experienced Collections Supervisor/Manager to manage their collections team of 10 to 12 collections specialists onsite in Hollywood. Must have experience leading a lead of at least 7+ collections specialist.
Job Duties:
- Lead a group of approximately 10 Collection Specialists in a call center environment
- Review team activity, identify trends, and assess team effectiveness in order to achieve departmental goals.
- Lead by example to improve performance and behaviors of the team and work to determine the best approach to resolve an internal or external problem.
- Assist team members with escalated calls and daily operational duties.
- Monitor calls and review account activity of all the team members.
- Ensure internal policies and procedures and all governmental regulations are consistently applied and adhered to by team members.
- Assist management with employee development including training and mentoring, writing performance reviews, counseling, and participating in corrective action meetings.
- Analyze, suggest, develop and implement procedural changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Document and resolve customer complaints.
- Manage team attendance and scheduled absences to ensure proper staffing levels are met.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of procedural changes to improve production and efficiency of operations.
- Receive incoming calls from existing customers and assist them with their needs.
- Review delinquent accounts with the Loan Servicing Manager for further action or guidance.
- Follow up with customers on prior arrangements and gather information to reduce the Company’s bad debt exposure.
- Perform light skip tracing on delinquent accounts.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate's degree preferred, but not required
- 3+ years minimum experience working in Collections
- 2+ years minimum experience as a Collections lead, supervisor or manager in a call center environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of collection and repossession laws on the federal, state, and local level
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to work onsite
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
