Job Description

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) your primary responsibility will be to provide care and assistance to residents who are unable to care for themselves. You will work closely with licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure that residents receive the best possible care. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Assisting residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Helping residents with mobility and transfers, including using lifting equipment when necessary Monitoring residents' vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff Assisting with medication management and administration, under the direction of licensed nurses Documenting care provided and any observations or concerns in residents' medical records Responding to residents' call lights and requests for assistance in a timely manner Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, and engaging them in activities as appropriate Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, including changing linens, cleaning equipment, and disinfecting surfaces Following all nursing home policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to healthcare. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as patience, compassion, and a strong desire to help others. You should also be able to work effectively as part of a team, and be able to handle physical demands such as lifting and standing for long periods of time.
