The Clinical Therapist-Mental Health Therapist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Deliver direct psychotherapeutic and cognitive-behavioral skill-based treatments in
individual as well as group settings.
- Provides crisis intervention and emergency care to residents when appropriate.
- Acts as primary professional therapist for cases assigned, and communicates ongoing
treating physicians/psychiatrists, on an ongoing basis through chart documentation,
team meeting participation, and other informal oral communications as needed.
- Fosters engagement of resident into neuro-rehab program and assists in reviewing
component, as it applies to successful outcome/discharge goals.
- Completes required documentation for individual and group treatments.
- Attends in-services and staff meetings, as required.
- Successfully completes course in Calming and De-escalation Training and maintains
- Maintains professional certification/licensure as appropriate.
- Maintains professional ethical standards, including but not limited to responsible
Psychological Association’s (APA) Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of
Conduct, as well as Standards for Psychological Services in Long Term Care

- Actively participates in and responds to clinical supervision on a weekly basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the best possible treatment for all

Master’s Degree in relevant clinical area such as Clinical or Counseling Psychology,
Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, etc., or other similar title.
