We are seeking compassionate, experienced individuals to join our team in our fight against addiction! The Clinical Supervisor is a combined direct practice and supervision role. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical and administrative oversight of Counselors and/or Care Coordinators in their assigned region; broken down to an average of 50% clinical and 50% Administrative (dependent upon program needs). They are responsible for HR issues, reviewing and signing off on documentation in the EMR, reviewing cases, weekly supervision with their teams, leadership in community partnerships, interviewing and training of Counselors in conjunction with People Services. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor will work in conjunction with the Operations and Medical Leadership to increase leadership presence at all clinics in the assigned region.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Oversees a team of Counselors and/or Care Coordinators within an assigned region.
  • Completes comprehensive assessment within program guidelines and formulates a diagnostic impression by conducting patient interviews and identifying strengths, needs, ability, preferences, weakness, and problems, for the development of a treatment plan.
  • Prepares individualized treatment plans, in accordance with established standards and deadlines, consistent with the assessment and in conjunction with patient to include goals, intervention, necessary support or referral service. Evaluates client response to treatment and modifies treatment plan or recommends treatment extensions as circumstances require.
  • Conducts individual counseling sessions with patients in accordance with treatment plan, or as necessary for crises intervention; provides patients with feedback, support, or encouragement or to address behaviors and attitudes, or family, social or personal problems.
  • Prepares and conducts group counseling utilizing Evidenced Base Treatment Models (CBT, MI, Matrix Model)
  • Documents treatment plans, progress notes, treatment evaluations, treatment plan reviews, and so forth; and maintains client records and charts in accordance with organizational, regulatory accreditations and contractual standards.
  • Collaborate with Medical Staff, Care Coordinators and Certified Recovery Specialists (if available in your state) and other Treatment Team Members to facilitate open communication regarding patient care.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Leadership, provides leadership presence in all assigned clinics within the region
  • Provides leadership and direction to team on all Behavioral Health programs, policies, and procedures. Uses progressive discipline as needed.
  • Provides weekly supervision to team
  • Ensures compliance with treatment plans, progress notes, treatment evaluations, treatment plan reviews, and so forth; and maintains client records and charts in accordance with organizational, regulatory accreditations and contractual standards for assigned supervisees.
  • Reviews and signs off on notes for licensure and as deemed appropriate in the EMR
  • Collaborates with Counselors, patients, physicians, office staff, ancillary departments within the company, and community agencies to maintain accurate and timely data exchanges between all entities involved in the patients’ care
  • Maintains effective, pro-active, and superior follow-up communication with assigned clinical team, patients, providers, office staff, and ancillary departments within the company and community
  • Attends regular meetings or conference calls, including but not limited to involving Interdisciplinary Teams and collaborating community agencies, completing all required documentation in the EMR
  • Provide crisis intervention and back up crisis support/supervision, as necessary
  • All other tasks or projects, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • This position must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Masters Degree in Behavioral Health required
  • Must be currently licensed in the state of practice. (Massachusetts: LADC-I, LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT)
  • Experience Supervising clinical staff and/or clinical team members, and familiarity with human resources processes.
  • Must possess and understand the nature of addiction, recovery, and clinical interventions.
  • Knowledge and experience navigating and documenting in an EMR system

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Thorough understanding of harm-reduction and MAT
  • Thorough understanding of Relapse Models;
  • Working understanding of the unique needs/dynamics of the patient population;
  • Possess excellent writing skills;
  • Willingness to work with a treatment team approach;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with treatment staff;
  • Thorough Understanding of Harm Reduction and MAT

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Dependent body mobility to access a standard office environment with shelves and drawers of varying heights
  • Vision sufficient to read a computer screen, and printed text and hand-written documents
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard daily
  • Stamina to sit and/or stand up for hours at a time
  • Ability to transport, lift or carry essential work-related materials or items up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone, and in various forms of written communication.
  • Mental stamina for problem solving
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to document, recall, and explain detailed training, conversation, or events, and apply oral/written instructions, as needed
  • Will be required to work in an office environment and travel to other site locations and/or applicable locations in the community
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record
