JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Services Manager / DER is responsible for managing the organization’s DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing and medical surveillance programs. In this capacity, this role is responsible for establishing, monitoring and managing the network of third-party service agents that perform the collections, laboratory analysis and results reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (These are core competencies required for the position)

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Successful completion of formal DER training course(s), as evidenced by certification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a DOT Designated Employer Representative
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, 5 or more years of relevant experience can be considered.
• Extensive knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Parts 40 & 382.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing the company's drug and alcohol testing programs and governing policies.
• Acting as the liaison for drug and alcohol testing service agents (TPA, C/TPA, collection sites, labs, MROs, SAPs, EAP program).
• Staying informed of every test and its result.
• Performing the functions necessary according to the results of the tests and taking immediate action, including: removing employees from safety-sensitive duties, making necessary decisions in the testing and evaluation process, receiving test results and other communications for the employer, report test results to the agency and/or state local authorities, as necessary, and following company policy regarding the consequences of a positive test result or refusal to test.
• Maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policy. This includes all required record-keeping related to the functions managed.
• Ensuring any required training is provided and completed throughout the organization (i.e. Reasonable Suspicion).
• Serve as administrator for the DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Standard Office Work,10% Travel

LOCATION:

• 100% onsite in Eagan, MN 55121 (note: would consider allowing remote 1 day per week)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
