About the Role: Claims Service Associate (Claims Assistant)
The Claims Service Associate will perform primarily clerical functions to assist the Claim Specialists in a variety of simple tasks at the direction of the Claim Specialist.
Key Job responsibilities:
- Setting up claims in the agency database (EPIC)
- Reporting claims to insurance carriers
- Obtaining statuses from adjusters
- Obtaining needed information from carriers, adjusters, producers and clients
- Forwarding information to adjusters, producers and clients
- Updating claim notes
- Providing clerical and research assistance as needed
- Providing any other assistance as needed
*The expected salary range for this position is $21.79/hour to $31.25/hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. You might be a great fit for this opportunity if you:
- Have a high School diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Are able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Agency Management Systems (ex. Applied EPIC, Salesforce, Workday, etc.)
- Have strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Can work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Have prior experience in workers’ compensation, insurance or healthcare industries (preferred)
- Are bilingual or working proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)
