SUMMARY: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible to provide leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of the organization's activities to ensure compliance with established objectives of quality, economical health care services and other related lines of business in accordance with the organization's mission and values. The CEO must be highly skilled in building relationships with the Board, medical staff, community members, and hospital staff.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in health management, business administration or a related field required. Master’s degree in Health Administration or Business Administration preferred
• Three to five years of CEO, senior leadership, or assistant administrative experience in a hospital or healthcare organization in rural healthcare preferred.
