JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services or designee, performs assigned surgical “scrub” duties and maintains sterile techniques for all surgical procedures. Prepares the patient, operating room, equipment, and instruments for surgery, maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with nursing practice and standards of care.
Focus: MUST HAVE experience with ORIF of hips, arms, legs, etc. (hemiarthroplasty), arthroscopies (knee, shoulders), total joints..
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program;
* Three (3) years experience as an OR Technician or Surgical Technologist in an acute care or outpatient setting.
- Association of Surgical Technologists Certification highly preferred.
- Current BLS/HCP CPR certification
