50% Collects, manages, and analyzes data to demonstrate compliance with Louisiana policies and requirements of the University, individual teacher preparation programs, the Louisiana Department of Education, and accreditation bodies; Complete certification documents, communicate certification information to all residency candidates and other stakeholders, and monitor candidates’ required assessments for certification. This includes but is not limited to the following:
o Monitoring teacher preparation students Praxis scores and communicating with students to ensure passing scores prior to graduation
o Monitoring teacher preparation students Praxis scores and communicating with students to ensure passing scores prior to graduation
o Collaborate /Consult with OSS for verification of student’s coursework and graduation eligibility before moving into residency year
o Collecting student information and processing applications for Residency Certificates with LDOE and maintaining Residency Certificate database across the Residency year
o For Alternative Certification programs (Alternative Certificate programs, MAT programs, and Post-Baccalaureate programs), collecting student information and processing applications for provisional licenses (PL-1, PL-2, and PL-3)
o Collecting student information and processing applications for Residency Certificates with LDOE and maintaining Residency Certificate database across the Residency year
o For Alternative Certification programs (Alternative Certificate programs, MAT programs, and Post-Baccalaureate programs), collecting student information and processing applications for provisional licenses (PL-1, PL-2, and PL-3)
o Collecting mentoring attestation forms from principals, students, and mentors
o Extending and updating teacher resident/PL certificates when necessary
o Extending and updating teacher resident/PL certificates when necessary
25% Monitor the LSU database of teacher certification applicants, verify candidate eligibility, and complete process for recommending teacher candidates to LDOE for initial certification; Oversee the process of LSU teacher certification candidates transferring their teaching -certificate to other states including completing out-of-state verification forms; Attend LDOE, BOR, and University meetings regarding teacher certification requirement updates to stay current in policy; communicate changes or anticipated changes regarding program admissions, operations, coursework, field-based training, residency, certificate recommendation, testing, and data submission. Act as a resource for teacher education certification across the University.
15% Collaborate with individual teacher preparation programs to maintain the LSU Teacher Education certification requirement matrix and ensure that programs meet LSU and LDOE certification requirements by updating programmatic matrices for teacher preparation programs; Manage certification questions/issues for programs or students and be the point of contact for LDOE; Assist with applications and admissions processing for the MAT and Post-baccalaureate programs; Process Early Childhood Junior Year Applications; Maintain accurate entries in state databases and for Title 2 Federal report; Prepare annual Title II federal report on behalf of SOE and respond to inquiries as required
Complete CAEP accreditation administrative duties, including:
o Management and analysis of Praxis scores – percentages of passing, number of times taken to pass, comparison to state and national scores
o Confer with faculty in data management and analysis on select CAEP Standards
o Collaborate on all reporting including final review of reports
o Maintain accurate records of current students in cohorts as they matriculate and once they become completers

10% Complete US News and World Report: Work with Office of Budget and Planning to complete survey for our graduate programs in education; Contribute to the success of the School of Education by performing all other duties as assigned; Maintain background checks and legal benefit coverage insurance for teacher residents.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Education or education related field, Business, or General Studies
- Experience with student data bases and Louisiana University or alternative teacher preparation programs
- Experience with student data base management
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience submitting federal and state compliance reports
