The CDL Licensed Driver in Training role is responsible for training to be a route delivery driver by participating in route delivery to stores or cross dock locations as needed and merchandising product as needed. This route requires fingerprinting of the freight.

Position Specifics:

• Pay Rate: $15.00
• Hours/Days of Work: 5:00 am until - Monday - Friday
• Location: Greenwood, Ms.

Essential functions:

• Transport products from the warehousing locations to cross dock or store locations on as needed basis
• Merchandise products within the store facility to prepare for customer purchase
• Coordinate delivery of products with local distribution management
• All other duties as reasonably assigned by Supervisor

Qualified individuals for this role will possess the following characteristics:

• Valid Class A or B Drivers License and DOT med card
• Demonstrated leadership experience within Clark driver force
• Self-motivated to be safe and effective on the job, including compliance with all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Desire to work in an individual atmosphere for a large percentage of the worktime.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
• Customer focused mentality and strong desire to meet retailer needs through on time product delivery.
• Meet the following insurance and alcohol board criteria:
  • Aged 20 years or older (except in Jackson facility)
  • verifiable CDL driving experience
  • no more than two moving violations within the past two years
  • two or less preventable accidents within the last three years
  • No DUI/DWI or serious moving violations in the previous five years
  • No felonies within the previous two years, and no more than one misdemeanor or offense related to alcohol within previous two years
