We are hiring a Cath Lab Tech!!

Minimum 1 Year experience in Cath Lab role.

AlliedUp Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Cath LAb Technician to fill a opening with a Hospital located in Passaic, NJ. Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Candidate should have 1 year of Cath Lab Tech experience.

Requirements of the Cath Lab Tech

1. Requires previous experience assisting with scrubbing procedures and monitoring data, preferably in a Cardiovascular Lab.
2. Cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
3. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required.
5. AART Certification

Responsibilities of the Cath LAb Tech

· Opens sterile packs and prepares instrument table for catheterization procedure.

· Greets patient and makes comfortable with department surroundings.

· Prepare patient for catheterization procedure.

· Assess the patient’s status on arrival and throughout the procedure by demonstrating knowledge of electrocardiographic, hemodynamic, and hematological data.

· Assist physician during procedure.

· Observes patient for any complications of catheterization procedure.

· Observes all fluid infusion and patency of catheters.

· Assists supervisor in accurately recording charges for procedures.

· Attends all hospital mandatory in-services.

· Demonstrates a willingness to maintain a harmonious working relationship with physicians, and other staff members.
