Southern Foodservice Management, a national contract food service provider, is looking for a talented and motivated Catering Manager. Candidates should be committed to providing the best possible catered dining experience possible for guests at the Athletics facilities at the University of Central Florida campus located in Orlando, FL 32816. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Catering Manager that will be responsible for running the day-to-day catering services. The candidate would be motivated to grow the annual catering sales by working with UCF Hospitality departments and connecting with high-level community partners.

This location operates within the Garvy Nutrition Center at FBC Mortgage Stadium with daily operations for Student Athlete meals 5 days a week and catering events possible 7 days a week, plus 25 Stadium Suites, 3 MG Club, and 2 Field level Cabanas during Home Football games (6 in 2023).

This position requires open availability depending on the number of events per week.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• 3+ years of documented catering experience with references and an understanding of cooking techniques.
• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
• Strong in proper food handling and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain payroll for the operation.
• To maintain a quality dining experience and handle guest requests and/or complaints quickly.
• Monitor and direct catering staff through assignments and checklists for product quality, service, setup and tear down.
• Manage stock and place approved orders as needed.
• Maintain proper sanitation controls.
• Set a good example for all staff through appearance in uniform and work ethic.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Job Requirements

• Be customer service oriented.
• Organizational skills, managing multiple tasks, and the ability to prioritize.
• Have full understanding of proper food handling and sanitation standards.
• ServSafe Certified required.
• Have a valid driver license.
