Position: Store Cashier

Reports To: Store Manager

Would you like to help others? Have fun? And make some money as you start a new year?

You are a key part of our stores team at our award-winning thrift store. You play an important role in creating top-notch customder service so SVdP can continue to offer assitance programs to those in need and bring customers back to our stores.

JOB DUTIES:

• Greet customers on their arrival and thank them on their departure.
• Takes merchandise ready for sale and places it in its proper location on the sales floor.
• Helps maintain a clean and safe work environment for co-workers and our customers.
• Assists Store Manager as directed in creating attractive floor displays.
• Accurately ring up all customer purchases and make sure the money collected is correct.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

SVdP is looking for those who:

• Greet customers on the sales floor and create a welcoming impression on them.
• Get along well with co-workers; inspiring everyone to be committed to helping others. Work should be a fun to some degree, right?
• Help keep the store in a clean and welcoming image.
• Lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Work on feet for the bulk of their assigned shift.
• Understand and fully comply with all company safety directives.
• Accurately handles sales transactions.
• Are committed to working evenings and weekends as needed.
• Able to assist at other SVdP stores as needed.

SVdP uses Virtus™ online training regarding safety and care of those vulnerable. Hiring includes a background check for all applicants.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.50 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
