Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This position will assist master carpenters with custom residential and commercial stair installations. You will learn and develop the skills necessary to become a master carpenter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for loading of stairs scheduled for delivery taking care not to damage stairs
- Responsible for delivery of stairs to correct location.
- Responsible for installation of custom straight and curved stair systems for both residential and commercial projects.
- Reporting any property damage immediately, prior to leaving job site.
- Work with management to assure efficient routing to minimize delivery cost.
- Comply with customer policies and safety requirements.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Able to lift and deliver stairs up to 75 lbs
- Able to work in the field in varied weather, jobsite conditions and working hours
- Ability to accurately QC check and document order fulfillment
- Excellent Teamwork
- Solid spatial awareness and math skills including basic geometry.
- Strong background in wood working/craftsmanship.
- Framing and Trim carpentry preferred.
