Summary
This position plans, coordinated and directly supports event operations across campus, including supporting the qualified catering process. This position will also assist the existing event operations team with maintaining spaces and equipment related to use by meeting and events.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the point of contact for the on campus qualified carterer program. Assess caterer successes and concerns. Triage issues as they occur for clients and/or caterers. Collaborate with procurement on annual review of approved caterers.
Prepare detailed operations notes for daily event event crew in Reynolds Alumni Center, Bond Life Sciences, NextGen Precision Health building, outdoor locations, and other requested equipment and service delivery locations.
Create and maintain planning documents to coordinate equipment, vehicles, catering and staff. Coordinate additional needs, foresee problems or seek clarification with other Reservations or Event Operations team members as well as handling complex logistics.
Support events onsite through event sets/strikes and lead caterer support during events with direct client interaction as assigned.
Schedule weekly linen rentals with contracted vendor; manage internal stock of linens through use and cleaning process as well as maintaining inventory levels and replacement schedule. Work in advance with scheduled caterers to determine catering linen needs as necessary.
Coordinate and communicate with caterer(s) using the leased kitchen space. Assess, maintain, and add to associated equipment inventory; ensure high standards are maintained in the space by users.
Develop and manage china rental program.
Salary
Salary Range: $20.66 - $29.41 per hour
Grade: GGS 009

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
