Working vacation in Maui with the Boy Scouts at Camp Maluhia?????

Our small summer camp is currently seeking an energetic individual to serve as the Camp Aquatics Director this summer for three weeks. Staff week is June 26-July 01, camper weeks are July 02-08 and July 09-15.

We are looking for an individual trained as a Boy Scouts of America(BSA) Aquatics Instructor, National Camp School certified.

We will also consider an applicant who is 21 years of age or older, currently trained by the American Red Cross as a Lifeguard Instructor, in Lifeguard Management, and as a Water Safety Instructor (all three required) to fill the position.

This position is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all who use the pool, Swimming and Life Saving merit badge classes, mile swim award, arranging troop swim times and the general maintenance of the pool.

The right candidate will have a passion for working with scouts, the scout oath and law and interact with counselors on a daily basis.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $10.61 - $27.28 per hour

Experience:

• scouting: 1 year (Preferred)
• summer camp health officer: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)
• BSA Aquatics Instructor or Red Cross Instructor (Required)
