The House of Fins is a fast-paced and dynamic workplace. We are a group of 20+ team members who work really well together. We all pitch in as needed, and there are a lot of moving parts on a daily basis. The perfect applicant for this role would have the ability to wear many hats and to think outside the box and multi-task throughout the day.

Applicants must possess great communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management skills, and very strong organizational skills. As stated earlier, the ability to multitask is pertinent to this position.

The Buyer/Planner role encompasses elements of:

• Buying the "Hardgoods" for our aquarium retail, maintenance, online, and custom aquarium maintenance divisions.
• Maintaining inventory levels.
• Using re-order points within House of Fins' Point of Sale (POS) System to place orders, adjusting re-order points when necessary to keep up with customer increased or decreased demand.
• Maintaining the retail shelves as full, products clean, and aesthetically pleasing.
• Maintaining the basement stockroom and off-site aquarium storage as organized and clean.
• Processing customer special orders and returns in a timely manner.
• Utilizing the POS system to place oders daily, and to receive orders into QuickBooks accounting program.
• Maintaining relationships with vendors.

Past Point of Sale system experience is a huge plus, advanced Microsoft Excel experience is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
