The Business Administrator is an exciting career opportunity in property management with a growing company! Looking for experienced, entrepreneurial-minded individuals for a student housing asset in the Starkville, MS market. Competitive salary with bonus opportunities. We’re looking for hard-working, motivated individuals who are interested in growth with a stable, reputable, expanding organization.

To maintain the financial workflow at the property as it relates to Policy and Entrata workflow, accounting, lease start, and end dates, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, the achievement of monthly collections goal and management of collections process, exceptional customer-relations with parents and residents as they relate to all ledger questions.

  • Effective implementation of Leasing/Accounting Workflow in Entrata per policy
  • Effective implementation of Collections Policy & achievement of monthly collections goal
  • Daily reporting to Community Manager on collections progress
  • Management of the eviction process
  • Maintain accurate resident ledgers and minimize Entrata corrections
  • Respond to past due account collections questions per NCS
  • Ensure all invoices received are approved, initialed, stamped, coded and entered into Entrata and sent to corporate weekly
  • Preparation of statement of accounting invoices for past due residents
  • Help ensure all lease start and end dates are accurate in Entrata
  • Manage rent collections on move-in day according to Policy “no rent, no keys”
  • Coordinate with Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure units are walked immediately upon move out and assessed for damages
  • Charge damages to ledgers
  • Processing Sodas in Entrata within 5 business days from date of move-out
  • Prompt, friendly and effective communication with residents and parents regarding ledger questions
  • Always act in the best interest of the property and raise the red flag to mitigate risk and show initiative to solve problems

  • Previous accounts management/ AP experience preferred
  • Knowledge of FMO preferred
