Hiring for: Bus Cleaner (Hours of work will be between 6:00pm – 6:00am)

CATA is located in State College, PA just on the outskirts of the Pennsylvania State University campus. We recently completed a major expansion of our facilities to provide a state of the art working environment for our growing employee base.

As a Bus Cleaner at CATA you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who are committed to providing excellent service to all of our staff and customers.

Some pertinent responsibilities of the position are listed below.

• Cleans interior of CATA vehicles, includes sweeping and mopping bus floors, dusting seats;
• Cleans exterior of CATA vehicles, utilizing a mechanical bus washer when available;
• Cleaning glass windows, doors and mirrors, washing of all window casings and tracks;
• Cleans all chrome railing materials, straps and driver areas;
• Vacuuming and cleaning of all upholstery using the appropriate cleaning equipment;
• Cleaning of light fixtures and washing down all interior surfaces including walls, seat bases, vent casings;
• Empty all trash from the vehicle; replace trash bags;
• Restock vehicles with supplies, as needed; verifying that service vehicles are amply stocked with supplies and supplies are properly requisitioned and recorded;
• Turn in all lost and found articles to dispatch as outlined in CATA policy;
• Properly maintain and clean equipment and work areas at the end of each shift;
• Keeps storage and work areas clean at all times;
• Reports all maintenance issues to Supervisors;

Salary for Year One: $14.98 per hour, Year Two: $16.85 per hour, After Year Two: $18.72 per hour.
