We're hiring a Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti Money Laundering (AML) Manager to join our Risk Management Team.

Responsibilities:
Assist the BSA Officer with all aspects of BSA/AML identification, analysis, and monitoring

Manage and develop a team of Financial Crime professionals

Review and file within the appropriate timeframe CTRs for all branches checking the accuracy and thoroughness of all reportable transactions

Lead and perform alert reviews and case investigations consisting of anomalous or potentially suspicious activity identified by the Bank’s transaction monitoring software

Analyze account transaction histories to identify potential money laundering typologies and other unusual or potentially suspicious behavior

Conduct in-depth investigations of potential suspicious activity and documenting clients’ relationships with the account holders and gathering additional information from various sources as appropriate

Maintain the appropriate level of documentation for each SAR and negative SAR filing decision in accordance with audit and regulatory expectations

Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and conduct periodic on-site visits of high-risk customers in order to obtain a thorough understanding of the entity, their transactions, and patterns of activities

Research and monitor potential OFAC matches, provide sufficient documentation to support a match or a false positive; approve and escalate any matches to the BSA Officer

Conduct ongoing trainings with various departments and new employees to clearly communicate BSA/AML/OFAC requirements and expectations

Work with various departments and customers in providing expertise to BSA, AML, and OFAC related issues and questions

Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least five (5) years of BSA/AML experience

Strong communication skills and the ability to act independently when investigating BSA, AML, Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), or USA PATRIOT Act situations

Highly analytical and must have a strong work ethic, excellent research abilities, and superior critical thinking skills

Show the ability to write clearly and concisely and produce an error-free work product

Demonstrate flexibility, the ability to learn new skills, and meet production expectations while working closely with others in a team environment

Highly organized with a high level of attention to detail, an ability to follow tight regulatory guidelines and ‘think out of the box’

Experience with Verafin (or equivalent BSA/AML management system) is required

Experience with managing a diverse BSA/AML team
