A Brief Overview

A Business Process Developer works with our internal centralized business departments to improve process efficiency through automation, integration, and interfaces. This position requires a strong understanding of these concepts and the ability to relate them to the business in the context of process improvement. Those discussions will become process improvement projects led by this developer.

What you will do


  • Lead major projects from analysis through implementation, identifying critical issues and impediments to project completion and working through the problems to ensure a quality product delivered in a timely manner.
  • Work independently with vendors to determine solutions to business and technical issues.
  • Provide support for major applications and systems as needed.
  • Work with management to help prioritize tasks and assign resources.
  • Make suggestions for improving applications and processes related to applications.
  • Work with development managers and other developers to improve the FirstBank development methodology.
  • Work with management and mentor the team on the strategic direction of business process management initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy.

Minimum Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 7 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or other technical field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks concurrently
  • Demonstrated understanding of business processes with ability to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of information security concepts and techniques, as they apply to application development
  • Strong understanding of multiple platforms and interfaces between platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to define, design, develop, test and implement efficient forms and workflows of a complex nature
  • Demonstrated ability to estimate timelines and resource needs for major projects
  • Ability to develop data designs for optimal transactional and analytics purposes


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
  • Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
  • Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
  • Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information

Salary Range

$90,376.00 To $150,904.00
