Schedule: Part Time, Days, Benefits-Eligible - 2 days/week. Either Monday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
Responsibilities
Under direction of the Practice Administrator, the Billing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the billing process. The Billing Coordinator closely monitors all outstanding accounts receivable to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all claims for services rendered to our patients. - Support incoming calls from patients and insurance companies.
- Assist with processing refunds to insurance companies and patients.
- Respond to payor requests for supporting documentation.
- Routinely prepare and review patient statements.
- Assist in processing primary and secondary payment submissions.
- Responsible for organizing archived medical records.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Post charges/payments.
- Review and resubmission of rejected claims.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma/GED and over 6 months to 1 year of administrative experience required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality.
- Service-oriented.
