Biller

Summary:

• Works the Quadax bills daily, to resolve outstanding claims. May include, but not limited to, application of modifiers, creating split bills, combining bills, etc.
• Manages bill holds and releases as appropriate. Notifies supervisor of problems accounts.
• Works and completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports as appropriate.
• Monitors claim errors and rejections for ongoing trends, documents them and bring examples to
• management to determine how to resolve.
• Works and corrects payer rejections daily.
• Reviews hold work cue to identify any claims that can be corrected and moved to billing status.
• Works with IS "partner" to identify and implement bills edits that will increase clean claim percentage.
• Accurately and thoroughly documents all pertinent events regarding the handling of the account.
• Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
• Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

3 years of hospital business office or physician office preferred.

Additional Skills / Abilities:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products. Knowledge of ICD , CPT, Revenue codes and modifiers is required. Familiarity with payer website and portals is preferred.
