Job description
Provides care to patients with psychiatric problems. Assists and teaches patients basic living and working skills. Assists with assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all assigned patients' care in collaboration with a licensed nurse. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school graduate or GED required.
Diploma or transcripts required upon hire.Experience:
Preferably one-year experience in a hospital, or long term care facility. Prefer some college classes in psychology.
Licenses/Certificates:
Prefer CNA certification in the State of Tennessee. BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross); if not current upon hire must obtain within 6 months. SAMA certification required; if not current must obtain within 90 days.
Experience
Preferred- Preferably one-year experience in a hospital, or long term care facility. Prefer some college classes in psychology.
