Our Materials and Structural Analysis business helps customers drive ground breaking research and discoveries by delivering innovative microscopy, spectroscopy and microanalysis solutions, such as world-class scanning and transmission electron microscopes, DualBeam™ FIB-SEMs, and spectrometers, combined with sophisticated software suites.
How will you make an impact?
The Beam Technologies Advanced Manufacturing Manager is responsible for engineering and design solutions to support the production of eGun and FIB columns and sources through the 4 tenets of the AM charter - Beam Tech DFX support, Driving BT core proficiencies, new technology introduction and DFM for new production introductions to the production floor.
What will you do?
- Leads and manages the Beam Technologies Advanced Manufacturing team.
- Ensures proper staffing of engineers to provide adequate levels of technical expertise for factory support and improvement projects.
- Guides team members’ professional development by goal setting, mentoring and providing challenges for further growth.
- Assists BeamTech Operations Engineering team technical competence requirements and development (including education, training, coaching, and collaboration).
- Works directly with cross-department, cross site, or external vendors for root cause analyses and solutions.
- Helps drive optimized yield and throughput via PPI, design revision, driving process improvement, and supply chain optimization.
How will you get here?
Education:
- Minimum required education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in high-tech industry environment in service, development or manufacturing.
- 2+ years management experience (people and/or projects) in a manufacturing, technical support or service management role in a high-tech industry environment.
- Demonstrated experience participating in or leading cross-site and multi-functional projects.
- Demonstrated experience with leading and developing technical teams and the ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others.
- Demonstrated experience with effective managing of critical issues and high-pressure situations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Willingness to work in high-tech industry manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining agreement of multi-functional, multi-cultural groups and sites within a collaborative environment.
- Must be able to work for extended period in clean room environment
- Must have ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise analysis of data, systematic problem solving and basic experimental methods, test protocols and procedures that include multiple factors
- Demonstrated ability to develop a team of people via mentoring and coaching to drive solutions as defined in the BT AM Charter.
