Come and join our Forbes Five-Star hospitality team at The Wheatleigh Hotel in Lenox, MA! The Wheatleigh

Hotel is located just two and a half hours by car from New York or Boston and easily accessible by private plane. Idyllically situated on 22 beautiful acres overlooking Stockbridge Bowl. We are a double Forbes Five-Star awarded hotel and a triple Diamond awarded Restaurant, we are the leaders in service and personal attention.

We are located on Hawthorne Road. Our ideal candidate is friendly and attentive, ambitious and engaged. This position will assist our Wine Sommelier with the curation of the wine cellar, daily dinner service, and will be required to assist as a server or service bartender when business or staffing levels dictate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to adhere to State Liquor License standards
• Ability to communicate effectively and serve guests graciously to our Forbes Five-Star standards
• Memorization of the beer, wine, and specialty cocktail list
• Ability to manage multiple tables at one time
• Accommodate special requests to guests, or offer alternatives
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Ability to deal with difficult guests
• Ensure restaurants are clean and dusted and checklists are completed
• Provide service that exceeds guests expectations
• Ability to uphold our Forbes and AAA standards
• Ability to upsell and work well with a team
• Ensure outlets are stocked for the day
• Prepares the Dining Room for service, which includes rearranging the space, polishing silverware, glassware and preparing service items
• Assist with Wine dinners
• Maintain an accurate inventory within our Wine Cellar and Bar

Qualifications

• Wine Knowledge required; wine certifications preferred
• Some bartending experience preferred
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Able to multitask efficiently
• Strong organizational skills
• Applicants must be willing to work weekends and holidays
• Experience as a Server, Waitress, or Waiter a plus
• Tips Certification required
