Dishwasher

Organization Name: CityFlatsHotel Port Huron

Reports to: Executive Chef, Sous Chef

Job Location: Port Huron, MI

Position Summary: CityFlatsHotel is in need of part-time dishwashers primarily for weekends, evenings and on occasion afternoons. We are looking for a candidate who believes in showing up on time for work, providing other employees with assistance in the kitchen as needed, and following all sanitary and health-related protocols. We provide a substance free environment. Substance testing is mandatory.

Responsibilities & Duties:

· Operate the industrial dishwasher

· Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary

· Empty and clean all trash receptacles

· Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources

· Clean dish storage

· Follow sanitation policies at all times

· Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times

· Perform opening and closing side work

· Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately

· Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate parties

Qualifications & Skills:

· No experience required (we’re willing to train!)

· High school diploma or GED preferred

· Excellent critical thinking and time management skills

· Ability to follow written and verbal directions

· Able to count accurately

· Ability to operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 50 lbs.

· Willingness to work on your feet for 4 hour shifts

· Must meet grooming standards

· Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit

Job Type: Part-time

• Night shift

Weekly day range:

• Weekend availability
