Avionics Sales Manager
AMI Aviation Services LLC, a Garmin Platinum dealer (>$1M in sales) and subsidiary of AeroMech, has an exciting opportunity for an Avionics Sales Manager for our Nashville/Smyrna, TN facility.
The Avionics Sales Manager will achieve company profit objectives by actively prospecting and successfully selling AMI Aviation avionics installations and modifications, service repairs, and PMA kitting services.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Successfully sell AMI Aviation products and services and maintain a high close ratio with a high ethical standard.
- Develop a strategy for successfully contacting customers and winning AMI product sales.
- Continually prospect new and existing customers using phone, direct mail, personal contact, and other available best practices.
- Using your avionics experience and technical knowledge, generate accurate avionics proposals for a variety of commercial, general aviation, and military aircraft; provide timely follow-up with customers.
- Upon closing the sale, prepare accurate and detailed workscope and communicate directly with Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and technical representatives to ensure the company successfully completes the workscope to the customer's expectations.
- Maintain technical product knowledge, selling skills, and demonstration techniques.
- Network with customers, prospects, FBO’s, Brokers, Owner's groups, professional organizations, conventions (NBAA, AEA, etc.).
- Promote AMI Aviation and the parent company AeroMech whenever possible.
- Continually improve existing company processes and procedures and introduce industry best practices from your experience.
- Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction with the total company experience and assist customers when necessary in solving service problems.
- Communicate with President regularly to discuss sales strategy and results.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job requirements
Ideal candidates will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multi task and prioritize activities across multiple facilities (Smyrna/Nashville, TN) and Sanford/Orlando, FL)
Other requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation, Industrial Design or related field or equivalent required.
- Minimum five (5) years of avionics sales or customer service experience required. Garmin familiarity is a strong plus as we are one of a few select Garmin Platinum dealers (>$1M in sales annually).
- Must be self-motivated with a proven track record as well as entrepreneurial and business savvy.
- Familiarity with part 145 Repair Stations and FAA regulations.
- Pilot's license a plus.
