Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Pediatric Audiologist for a part time position. We are a growing team of four audiologists that work closely with, Otolaryngologists, Geneticists, Speech-language pathologists, Oncologists, among other pediatric specialists.

For decades, Randall Children’s Hospital has been a leader in providing care to neonates through teens in inpatient and outpatient settings. Our staff is made up of pediatric medical and surgical specialists, hospitalists, community providers, and allied health professions. Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center is part of Legacy Health. This outpatient position will focus on providing pediatric diagnostic and treatment services. Diagnostic measures include; behavioral evaluation (VRA, CPA, Conventional techniques) objective measures (OAEs, immittance measures, evoked potentials including sedated and non-sedated ABR). Treatments/intervention include hearing aids, bone conduction devices and cochlear implants.

Our Audiologists works collaboratively with multispecialty teams including; Craniofacial Disorders clinic, Deaf and Hard of Hearing clinic and the Neuro-oncology clinic.

3-5 years pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
Current practical experience with electrophysiologic assessment (ABR, ASSR, OAE, etc.), behavioral assessment (BOA,VRA, Conditioned Play Audiometry) including multiply involved children, those with complex histories and the difficult to test. Strong clinical and counseling skills in all areas of pediatric audiology.

Prefer:

  • Experience in an acute care Pediatric inpatient hospital and/or Pediatric outpatient setting
  • Experience with cochlear implants, hearing aids and FM systems, auditory processing assessments.
  • Eligible for Oregon Hearing Aid Dealer Licensure

Qualifications:
Education/Licensure:
Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited program, or equivalent.

Skills
:
Excellent communication skills, organizational and time management; ability to work independently. Demonstrates competency in the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs, knowledge of growth and development and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by pediatric patients.
