About Our Opportunity:

As the Associate Director of Auxiliary Dining Services, you will be responsible for the general oversight of the management and leadership for Purdue Dining & Culinary auxiliary locations. Furthermore, you will assist in the larger initiatives developed though campus dining by actively participating in committee or project work. Some of these committees and projects include working with our social media brand ambassadors, student life communicators committee, our summer dietary internship program, etc. You will maintain an active presence in organizations to enhance the visibility of Purdue Dining & Culinary. You will be responsible for assisting with student and full-time trainings. This position will also assist with the interviewing and selection of full-time staff in Purdue Dining & Culinary.

This is a hybrid position with a combination of remote (20%) and on-site (80%) work.

What We’re Looking For:
Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Student Personnel, Organizational Leadership, Supervision, HTM, or related field.
• Six years of experience in higher education, human resources, training, recruitment, management, or related field.
• Knowledge of POS, debit card applications and current software programs.
• Knowledge of food preparation and service techniques, food ordering, sanitation regulations, marketing and customer service skills.
• Budgeting & analyzing financial statements.
• Knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing and accrual accounting.
• Ability to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends.
• Work standards, communication, interpersonal and intercultural relations, and decision making.
• Financial management, coaching and leading people, strategic thinking, innovation management and drive for results.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with different viewpoints and backgrounds.
