Our PICU holds distinction as Maryland's sole Level 1 pediatric trauma center and the state-designated pediatric burn ICU for children up to 15 years of age. We handle a wide range of complex cases, including respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, multiorgan failure, shock, toxic ingestions, and neonatal and pediatric ECMO. Our surgical expertise spans extensive procedures in general, cardiac, thoracic, orthopedic, and neurologic disciplines.

In this role as the Assistant Nurse Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit. From managing staffing and personnel to monitoring the environment, driving performance improvement, and mitigating risks, you will be a key leader in ensuring the provision of exceptional care. Collaborating closely with the Nurse Manager, your insights and communication will contribute to long-term problem-solving and strategic planning. Who Should Apply:

• BSN/MSN required.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• BLS CPR certification required
• RN work experience required. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of acute care RN work experience, including 3 years with leadership and/or supervisory responsibilities
• Ability to lead others, communicate effectively, problem solve, motivate others, promote cost-effective use of resources, and apply principles of evidence-based practice.
