2nd shift (3:30PM – 2:00am)

Temp to Hire $24/hr

Functional Area: Manufacturing area

We are seeking an organized, experienced Subarc Welder to join a fast-growing and expanding Northwest Houston Steel Company.

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate various pieces of welding equipment; specifically, welding machines, manipulator, grinders, arc gouger, turning rolls, and rosebud
• Review and understand customer tickets
• Maintain required maintenance tasks daily, weekly, and monthly
• Locate material and verify size and quantity by visual inspection and by physically measuring material
• Ability to take and pass a weld certification test

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of SAW, GMAW, FCAW, and arc gouging experience
• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a steel or industrial warehouse setting preferred
• Review and understand weld procedures and code welding requirements preferred
