Position: Armed Security Officer

Schedule: 12-hour duty day / 4 days “on” – 4 days “off” / Dedicated Day & Night Shifts

Salary Range: $25-$30 per hour

The facility Security Officer will serve as an armed facility protection specialist assigned to an active construction worksite:

§ Property Protection & Roving Property Patrol

§ Employee, Contractor, and Patron Escort

§ Surveillance / Critical Process Oversight

§ The use of armed or physical force to protect yourself, employees, visitors, and contractors, may be required.

Required Qualification:

§ Applicant MUST have a current Illinois PERC card or be a Sworn Police Officer

Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements

-US Military Service Members – Former, Retired, or Guard/Reservist.

-Current, local career public safety professionals with extensive experience in emergency and citizen services.

-Individuals deeply experienced in providing armed security or protection services.

Preferred Skills:

Our team is committed to placing a mission dedicated “Quiet Professional” style of Security Officer in the facilities and worksites of our contracted partners. Officers shall exude a friendly customer service demeanor, with a commitment to the success of the assignment, being a core value required of every 5th Meridian Security Officer.
