The Arbitration Support Representative applies principles of procedural fairness and independent judgment in reviewing and analyzing arbitration cases between buyer and seller with the objective of delivering a high level of customer service and maintaining customer loyalty. This position researches and verifies information; gathers, evaluates and analyzes data and prepares case resolutions, summaries and/or comments to arbitration cases within a CRM database. Must know, practice, and ensure that company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws are followed at all times.
What You'll Do:

Investigates and coordinates the resolution of arbitration claims submitted by customers

Utilize analytics to identify trends, strengths, and opportunities to maximize customer experience, efficiency and employee production

Listen to customer descriptions of symptoms in order to understand and clarify the mechanical issues, cosmetic issues, title issues or general issues.

Responsible for learning and applying company policies to resolve arbitration in a timely and equitable manner

Verify and confirm vehicle condition data from vehicle inspection reports

Mediate disputes and negotiate repairs and/or pricing of disputed vehicles in order to arrive at a mutually agreeable solution in order to keep vehicles sold and maintain buyer retention

Educate customers and KAR Global employees on best practices and help all parties to have and/ or set reasonable expectations around vehicle condition and reconditioning.

Maintain proactive communications with customers for incidents or requests. Assure customer acceptance of and quality of resolution.

Document and maintain accurate files for each arbitration case.

Work directly with inspections and quality control teams to provide feedback and help manage and reduce policy and good will loss.
What You'll Need:

Minimum of 2 years of automotive, mechanical or body shop experience

Positive Attitude, great follow-up, basic computer/ writing skills and being a team player are a must

Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills

Proficient use of CRM software
