Day (United States of America) APP (NP/PA) - GastroenterologyJob Description:
The Division of Gastroenterology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (LHMC) is currently seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join its Gastroenterology department. The AP will see patients in the outpatient setting to evaluate and manage general GI conditions. The role will include evaluating patients independently, interpreting test results and coordination of follow-up care. The Division of Gastroenterology is comprised of 25 physicians and 6 advanced practitioners all committed to providing compassionate, high quality, patient focused care.
Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (LHMC) is a 317-bed, state of the art, Tufts- affiliated Academic Medical Center consistently recognized as one of the best hospitals in the country by local and national publications including Boston Magazine and US News and World Reports. LHMC is a member of the newly formed Beth Israel Lahey Health, an integrated healthcare system that includes 4 academic medical centers and 8 member hospitals. Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) is conveniently located in Burlington, MA, a scenic suburban community approximately 15 miles northwest of Boston and a short drive to the lakes, mountains, and shores of New England. The area offers excellent schools and academic institutions, as well as abundant cultural and recreational amenities making it a truly desirable location in which to practice and live.
Education:
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Program.
Documentation of registration for next NCCPA Board administration or successful completion of NCCPA Board and maintenance of appropriate CME.
Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of a Masters Program in Nursing. Board certification as AGACNP is preferred.
Maintain currency through Clinical Education Units.
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
Certification and current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
DEA number and Mass Department of Public Health Division of Food and Drug Restricted Substances registration number as appropriate.
Written prescription privilege protocols signed by all attendings with whom the individual will be working.
