We are currently seeking a Program/Project/Management Analyst, Journeyman to support our Air Ship Integration customer. The Air Ship Integration Networks Program Analyst Journeyman will provide support in the following areas:
- Working level knowledge of DOD and Navy networks and services. The position will monitor network/communication architecture development between ships and aircraft.
- Coordinate with NAVSEA Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS), PEO (Ships), PEO (Carriers), and NAVWAR to develop a complete understanding of network communications traffic for tactical, air traffic control (ATC), and Live Virtual Construct (LVC) training, integrated fires, aircraft or Unmanned Air System (UAS) control, track acquisition, LINK 16, and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF).
- Ensure upgrades and modernization to either ship systems or NAVAIR aviation systems is coordinated across the Aviation/Ship interface.
- Assist in development of Ship Change Documents (SCDs) that affect the communications interface between ships and aviation assets to ensure interoperability.
- Review, log, track and report fleet/customer reported problems/issues for multiple ships across multiple Program Executive Offices (PEOs). Assess, evaluate, and rank issues reported by the fleet/customer.
- Develop and deliver temporary workarounds, meet with the fleet/customer to identify fleet/customer issues, support training associated with fielded products. Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) developed in SysML or UML, MBSE software tools in support of Architectural Frameworks such as DODAF is strongly encouraged.
Duty station will be at either Patuxent River NAS, MD or Navy Yard, DC and will require travel approximately 5 days every other month. Basing in either local with local trips will support coordination between NAVAIR PMAs at PAX and NAVSEA PMS/IWS teams at the Navy Yard.
Required Education: Journeyman – BA/BS degree.
Required Experience: Journeyman – 3 to 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the area of Network Architectural Engineering Reference Model.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
