Position: After School Program Assistant

The Baldwin Center seeks a dynamic, dedicated individual to assist in the After School Program which provides academic support and extracurricular enrichment opportunities, as well as a meal and a snack, for local children in grades K-8.

Description:

The After School Program Assistant is responsible for record-keeping, and assisting with activities to meet program goals. The program assistant must be on site during hours that the After School Program is in session, and is responsible for working with paid staff, parents and volunteers at the direction of the Youth Services Manager.

Qualifications:

• Must have some level of college and or specific education and/or experience in working in a child care setting
• Experience working with elementary aged students, preferably with at-risk populations
• Ability to pass a criminal history background check and DHHS central registry clearance
• Availability for ALL scheduled days of operation, listed below

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with different learning styles and modalities
• Familiarity with needs and abilities of children ages 4 - 14
• Flexibility and resourcefulness

Schedule:

• 20 hours per week, including on site Monday – Thursday: 2:30 – 7:00 pm*, when program in session
• After School Program runs from mid-September to mid-June 3 pm – 7:00 pm* and is closed for holiday breaks.

*Ending times of ASP sessions may change as programming opportunities arise.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• After school
• Monday to Friday
