Level Summary
- Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline
Performs routine assignments using existing procedures - Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles
- Entry level to a professional career progression
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual actual to planned expense deviation analysis for assigned divisions, lines of business or corporate accounts at a moderately complex level.
- Reconciles key corporate-wide accounts to plan to determine underlying expense drivers to facilitate analysis, planning and forecasting.
- Reviews, analyzes and interprets expense accounts to assure compliance with the administrative code. Advises cost center managers on proper recording of expenditures.
- Assures the timeliness and accuracy of assigned financial statements and management reports. Maintains a basic understanding of the operations of the company, in order to adjust the allocation processes within financial statements and management reports to mimic those operations.
- Produces metrics reports on a periodic basis.
- Assesses the risks inherent in smaller or less complex projects and the various proposed solutions and presents the risks to leadership.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting and business operations.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of financial reporting, financial analysis, budget and forecasting techniques or internal controls.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of forecasting techniques or statistical analysis or data modeling or data mining.
- Limited experience in financial statement and management reporting.
- Limited experience performing financial and operational analysis.
- Limited experience utilizing concepts related to accounting, accounting systems, budget, or tax.
Travel Requirements
- Requires travel up to 5% of the time.
