Position Summary:
This position reports to the Administrators for the Department of Medicine, Johns Hopkins Hospital. The position is responsible for the completion of special, administrative projects as assigned. Administrative Residents, under the mentorship of the Administrators, gain exposure to many departments within the organization as they serve in a supporting role.
Education:
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Health Care Administration or Business Administration.
Licensure/Certification:
None required.
Work Experience:
None required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires knowledge of basic health care provider operations.
Requires an understanding of basic payor types.
Requires knowledge of current health related issues.
Requires the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision on projects/tasks assigned.
Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interface with diverse levels of staff and business-related associates.
