Responsibilities
The Analyst manages a diverse set of operational and analytical duties, including analysis, budgeting, efficiency improvements, and support functions serving the UCD Health Government Reimbursement, Managed Care Operations, Managed Care Payor & Pharmacy Contracts departments. This position is responsible for conducting analysis and assessments, creating and tracking department budgets, and providing executive level administrative support to the Executive Director and Assistant Director. The Analyst utilizes initiative, judgment, and discretion in researching, analyzing and compiling necessary background information to assist management in responding to a wide variety of complex issues. As principal support to Leadership, the Analyst responds through verbal and written communication to a wide variety of inquiries through interactions with faculty, staff, trainees, students, the public and high levels of Health System, Campus and University administration, including the Office of the President. Manages complex electronic calendars of Leadership, independently committing each to action, determining priorities of meetings and resolving scheduling conflicts and provides support for meetings and travel. The Analyst is highly organized, able to work in a faced-paced environment, with multiple concurrent priorities, and can work independently with minimal supervision. May be required to work outside traditional business hours to meet critical needs of the Government Reimbursement and Managed Care Operations departments.
Required Qualifications

Work experience in an executive level office providing high level administrative support to leadership, with demonstrated political acumen to work in an executive-level office environment, with ability to represent the Leadership Team with tact and discretion to all constituents

Experience with and skills to apply various programs using Microsoft Office (in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases) and software to accomplish assignments, and the ability to learn new software

Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to create executive level communication and presentations

Demonstrated professionalism with high service-orientation and collaboration

Ability to appropriately deal with confidential, private, personal, and financial information

Demonstrated project management skills to provide support for multiple meetings and for competing deadlines

Accomplished organizational and analytical skills to assume general assignments and independently follow through to successful completion; to manage details of complex projects and events

Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to research, collect, analyze and interpret data and to anticipate consequences of decisions and recommendations

Excellent project management skills to effectively and efficiently manage multiple, complex electronic calendars, experience and strong organizational skills to schedule and coordinate large-scale conference/meetings and special events
