Wirthwein Fountain Inn, LLC. is hiring an Accounting Manager/Cost Accountant. In this position, you will be responsible for both Wirthwein plants in the US, Fountain Inn (SC) and New Bern (NC).
Function of the position:
- Manage the accounting function for Wirthwein US plants
- Determines all transactions are recorded accurately and timely
- Contact person for external banks and auditors
- Responsibility for the plant controlling of Wirthwein US Plants
- Identification and analysis of deviations
- Proactive development of optimization recommendations in consideration of lean methods and tools
- Consultant to plant and department manager in business related issues
- Interface function and cross-departmental coordination of projects
- Reporting to the Group Controlling and plant manager
Accounting tasks:
- Supervise of Accounting department
- Support and execution of daily accounting processes (accounts payable/receivable) for all business transactions as well as supporting in the processing of payment transactions
- Review and preparation of monthly internal financial statements and financial reports as well as coordination and preparation of the annual financial statement
- Execution of budgeting and forecasting, liquidity planning and cash flow management
- Support in tax matters
- Identification and analysis of deviations
- Payroll: Ensure accuracy of all payroll taxes (income, FICA, FUTA and SUTA) before submission to tax agencies
- Review preliminary financial statements prepared by external accountants and identify changes that are needed to reflect an accurate representation
- Review bank statements, fees, and investment statements
- Implementation of improvements related to the company´s financial management and accounting processes
- Support of system implementation or changes (SAP)
- Monitor the financial sections of grants and maintain compliances
- Close cooperation with the financial contacts within the international company group especially communication to Corporate Accounting
- Other duties as assigned
Controlling tasks:
- Participation in the monthly financial reporting and submission of reports and figures to the Group Controlling
- Participation in the creation of plant planning, budget planning and forecasting
- Evaluation of production, logistics and administrative processes as well as analysis of figures e.g. machine utilization and stock analysis
- Creating pre and post calculation of articles, materials as well as customer order and projects
- Implementation of cost center, cost type and cost unit accounting of the plant(s)
- Implementation of contribution margin reporting according to the Group Controlling
- Active participation in the further development of SAP system
- Proactive support of the plant manager in terms of plant development, especially regarding cost structure and investments as well as support in optimizing production
- Creation of various ad hoc analysis and evaluation for internal departments

Expertise generally:
- SAP knowledge concerning the modules FI/CO, PP and MM of advantage

- Knowledge of BDE systems would of advantage
- Good knowledge of accounting regulations
Professional experience:
- Successfully completed business studies degree specialized in Controlling or Accounting or comparable training
- Professional experience in a similar position in an industrial or manufacturing company
