Accountant - Full-Time

We are looking for a self-starting, motivated and high-energy person to join our Accounting team for GasPro, Augusta, GA Company. GasPro /AM PM Convenience stores INC. was created in 2013. We provide all services such as fueling gas, Diesel and Def, on the go full hot food bar, soft drinks, beer,wine,grocery line items, snacks and many more. One stop for travelers and great opportunity for employees to start their career.

The successful candidate will be in charge of QuickBooks review & analytics, payroll processing, payroll tax, Sales Tax and other general office tasks (such as: filing, faxing, photocopying, answering telephone calls, document check-in & pickup, and other related client services).Ethics, morals, and integrity are non-negotiable requirements.

Compensation:

$15 - $25/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Saturday

Responsibilities:

• Total QuickBooks accounting to include A/R, A/P
• Assisting CPA as needed, particularly in matters that relate to bookkeeping activities
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
• Enter data, maintain records, and create reports for Sales Tax and financial statements
• Process Payroll in a timely manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications:

• QuickBooks: 2+ years required
• Payroll experience: 2+ years required
• Ability to work alone at times
• Self-starting, thorough and efficient
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Associate (Preferred with 3-year work experience)
• Convenience store work experience or Knowledge is plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
