Senior Accountant for Nimes Real Estate

The main responsibilities of NRE’s senior accountant is to: record, monitor, and maintain the overall process of activities in NRE’s and its affiliated entities’ capital accounts; and record and monitor NRE’s revenues and expenses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Opening bank accounts for property, investor, and internal entity
  • Reconcile multiple entities’ bank accounts on a monthly basis
  • Calculates Asset Management and Acquisition fees
  • Prepares, records, compiles, analyzes and reconciles equity partners' financial information, including Partner distributions
  • Assist with the equity capitalization process in the acquisitions of assets, tracking contributions wires and recording it in the system.
  • Track and maintain accounting records within Juniper Square for contributions and distributions, expenses, and reimbursements
  • Loan Covenant Reporting; Calculating DSCR
  • Assist with the quarterly dissemination of information to investors.
  • Prepare and analyze available cash for distributions
  • Prepares and maintains Partner quarterly Income memos and various income reports using Excel spreadsheets and the Partner accounting system.
  • Maintains accurate Partner records and supporting materials for prepared schedules.
  • Understands and utilizes the Juniper Square features to handle requests for information.
  • Provides inter-departmental support in analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts relating to partner distribution/payment accounts
  • Supports the year processes, including preparing year-end income and capital schedules to facilitate the production of the Federal and State partnership returns and related K-1s.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual NRE budget
  • Spearheading special projects related to NRE activities
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including partnership accounting
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Juniper Square, QuickBooks Online, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Ability to learn and train in various PC applications
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting
  • Minimum of four years of related experience
