Job description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To maintain the security and confidentiality of local, state, and national accountability assessment program in order to support district curriculum & instructional goals and assessment requirements to ensure valid test scores and provide standard and equal testing opportunities for all students. To assist campuses with the interpretation of data correlated to student performance and the instructional program goals of the district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree, required
Master’s Degree, preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate, required
Texas Mid-Management, Supervisor’s Certificate or Principal’s Certificate, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Interpret policy, procedures and data; utilize effective interpersonal skills
Experience:
Three (3) years of teaching experience, required
Experience in research or testing, preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Keep informed about current legislation, educational developments, literature and research in assessment by participating in state and national professional organizations; attend appropriate conferences and staff development sessions; disseminate professional information and materials to schools.
- Develop, administer and supervise the procedures for ensuring the security and confidentiality of the State-mandated testing programs.
- Provide counsel as to potential data processing programs in the area of student testing and supervise their implementation.
- Serve as resource person in planning and conducting of in-service that supports educational activities for the improvement of teaching practices and interpretation of test results in cooperation with Instructional Leadership.
- Serve as a resource person in preparing reports for teachers, and other professionals who use test results in performing their duties.
- Serve as a resource person in the administration of district test initiatives that support instructional improvement and student success.
- Serve as a resource person in developing, implementing, interpreting and communicating the results of the district’s testing program to school staff, the Board of Trustees and other interested parties.
- Keep the immediate supervisor informed regarding the status on all projects or initiatives undertaken and or directives or requests received internally or externally.
- Promote the continuous enhancement of a climate conducive to open communication and productive work with schools and the department of Instructional Services.
- Foster collaborative educational efforts among staff by supporting the district’s philosophy and mission and its commitment to site-based shared decision-making. Serve as a resource person to campuses making site-based decisions in the areas of assessment and interdisciplinary instruction as requested.

- Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator).

Daily Rate pay range:
Minimum: $ 321.92
Maximum: $ 453.78
Note: Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
