Job description
- EarthRoamer is looking for a self-motivated, skilled, hardworking Service Technician at our location at 5073 Silver Peak Avenue, Dacono, Colorado. The Service Technician will assist with the maintenance, service and repair of EarthRoamer Expedition Vehicles. Strong electrical diagnostic and repair skills are needed. Ideal applicants will also have knowledge and experience in automotive mechanical, plumbing and audio/video systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical:
- Install, diagnose and repair 110V AC components and wiring including inverters, microwaves, coffee makers, air conditioners, water heaters, and all other AC components.
- Install, diagnose and repair 12V DC components and wiring including off road lights, exterior marker and stop/turn lights, interior lights, water pumps, winches, relays, retractable steps, tank level gauges, tank heating elements, fans, engine and camper batteries, alternators, charge controllers and all other DC components.
- Install, diagnose, and repair security system including keyless entry, remote start and ignition disable.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Mechanical:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical components including suspension, appliances, roof vents and hatches and all other mechanical components.
- Install complete air ride suspension systems including electrical and plumbing.
- Remove and install bumpers, winches, sway bars, shocks and all other components and accessories. Perform tire rotations.
- Perform cutting, welding and reinforcing of body panels, brackets and bumpers.
- Re-seal roof vents and hatches.
- Diagnose and repair coolant system issues including leaks, faulty components, worn hoses and fittings, diesel coolant heater, and all other components.
- Diagnose and repair diesel appliances including air heater, water heater and stove
- Perform other duties assigned.
Audio/Video:
- Install, diagnose and repair audio/video system including navigation head unit, speakers, amp, rear view camera, in motion satellite system, TV, DVD, blue ray, surround sound and all other a/v components.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Plumbing:
- Install, diagnose and repair plumbing system including water pump, filters, strainer, hot water heater, faucets, sink drains, PEX plumbing and fittings, water tanks, drains and all other plumbing components.
- Remove, repair and install grey water tanks, drain valves, and toilets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
General:
- Perform detail cleaning of exterior of vehicles including washing, waxing, windows, tires, wheels, etc. Perform detail cleaning of interior of vehicles including refrigerator, sink, stove, shower, toilet and all other interior components and compartments.
- Empty and clean toilet cassette, grey water, and fresh-water tanks.
- Follow work orders.
- Meet schedule deadlines.
- Complete reports on jobs performed including detailed labor and parts used.
- Test systems in vehicle and verify proper operation.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience in power tool operation (drills, grinders, reciprocating saws, etc.)
- Must possess a mechanical aptitude.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical school training desired
Job Details
- Current shift runs 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday.
- This is an local position in Dacono, Colorado. Extended travel is not expected.
- This is a full-time position requiring consistent dependable attendance.
- This position is non-exempt, and therefore eligible for overtime pay.
- The position may require some work outside of normal business hours, paid as overtime.
- This position reports directly to the Service Manager
- Starting wage $20-24 / hour
- Benefit Package totals $3-6/hour annualized:

Working Environment and Physical Demands
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Fast-paced production environment.
- Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, lifting (weights up to 75 lbs.) and stretching.
- Requires climbing or working on ladders or scaffold up to 10 feet high.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to safely operate a hand and power tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Requires a normal range of hearing to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (machinery and alarms).
- Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to work with small objects, read small print, use computers.
